Pupils in 6th Form and Phase 4 were visited by a commercial airline pilot. He spoke to the pupils about his journey to becoming a pilot, training and assessments as well as how he interviewed to get his job as a pilot.
Pupils watched videos about the skills and qualities required to be an airline pilot as well as exploring the wide range of jobs available at Heathrow Airport – A major local labour market provider.
Pupils had tickets for their flight and our visiting pilot also set up his training flight simulator – pupils had a wonderful time flying over London.
