Some lucky John Chilton school pupils have been participating in weekly Forest School sessions at Northala Fields. The pupils have been exploring the park and the woodland area in all types of weather. Due to recent heavy rainfall pupils were able to enjoy the large puddles left over night and didn’t waste any time splashing and getting wet. Pupils have also been learning a variety of skills such as knot typing, using hand tools, lighting small fires and putting up shelters. The JC Forest School have been lucky enough to create a local partnership with the charity Get Hooked on Fishing who have provided a classroom space and 1 fishing session per term for each group.
