On Monday the 28th of November, we welcomed parents to John Chilton School for our second coffee morning and Hybrid Workshop on SEN Travel Assistance.
This event aimed for parents to get together and learn how to apply for travel assistance and, if refused, how to appeal the decisions. The Workshop was delivered through a hybrid workshop followed by a Question & Answer session. It also allowed parents to share ideas and challenges over a cup of coffee. Parents valued the opportunity to join the event, gain information, be confident and feel supported.
Ruhi Grover, Community Engagement Worker from Ealing I-SAID Service Family Action, joined our coffee morning, which was an excellent contribution. She collaborated closely with the school – it was wonderful for her to come into school, network and meet our parents and empower them by providing advice and support on ”how to apply for travel assistance”.
Thank you to everyone who attended the event and helped make it a huge success
