Another piece of good news about our tireless effort to make John Chilton School one of the best places for pupils and staff alike. On the 24th May 2021 our staff took part in a textile workshop after school delivered by ‘Street Style Surgery’ where they were taught how to make personalised coasters using recycled materials.
They made their own looms to weave in and out T-shirt yarns to achieve innovative coasters. Competitions were fierce as they vied with each other to create striking designs on their coasters. It was a fun and relaxing time. The purpose of this workshop was purely holistic as we knew that after this long challenging time of Covid we needed be together again.
We definitely enjoyed this precious moment together and we are proud of our coasters too!
