Wellbeing underpins  all that we do for pupils, parents, staff and  stakeholders at John Chilton School.  We understand that life can be challenging at the best of times, especially during and after a pandemic. During recent times we have highlighted the importance of wellbeing for our community by regularly signposting staff and parents to a variety of organisations  and recommended web pages that support this.  Wellbeing has also been an ongoing priority for the pupils so there has been a strong focus on  providing quality input for them to safely navigate and explore their strong feelings during and after the pandemic, to support their positive return to school though our bespoke recovery curriculum.

Here are links to some of the wellbeing webpages or organisations we have recommended to families, pupils and staff.

CAMHS emergency contact for evenings and weekends

If you live in Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham or Hounslow,  CAMHS is a service you can contact in an emergency if you are worried about your child’s mental health.

You can contact them by calling their new emergency ‘Speak to CAMHS helpline’ : 0800 328 4444 and choose option 2 for CAMHS.

This CAMHS number is most useful for families at weekends and evenings in an emergency.

CAMHs stands for ‘Child and Adolescent Mental Heath Services’.

It is important that you also continue to communicate with school if you have concerns or issues about your child, by calling the school office or contacting your child’s teacher.

In many cases, school already works closely with CAMHs for advice and support about children’s mental health.
