The John Chilton School Governing Board is made up of a group of concerned members who have volunteered to help guide the school in its activities, supporting the staff and Headteacher.
They are involved in decisions about many aspects of leading and managing the school – such as running buildings and budgets, supporting staff and setting standards.
They help to make big decisions about the school’s long-term goals; ensuring that it is moving forward ambitiously.
They act as a ‘critical friend’ in a strategic role, and include Parents, Staff, Community members and representatives from the Local Authority.
If you have an interest in joining our Governing Board and wish to get involved in building a great future for our children and young people; having the time and commitment to join an energetic team, we would like to hear from you.
Please contact the Chair of Governors, via the school office and register your interest.
